Rescheduling or Canceling An Appointment
We understand that due to your busy schedule you may have to cancel or change an appointment with us. In order to respect the time of both our guests and our staff, we simply ask that you notify us of a cancellation or rescheduling at least 48 hours before the appointment. This gives us ample time to fill the appointment time should you need to cancel your service.
Appointments that are canceled less than 48 hours prior will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the time that was reserved for you. This fee must be paid before rebooking your next service. This fee does not go toward your next service.
Running Late
Please be courteous to your stylist and other clients.
If you’re running late, please call or text us at 505-379-1829 to let us know.
- If you’re more than 5 minutes late, giving us a heads-up helps us plan accordingly.
- If you’re more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your service or reschedule your appointment to keep things running smoothly for other guests.
Communication is key, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you whenever possible!
If your stylist chooses to perform your service and adjust their services due to your tardiness, you will still be charged for the time slot you reserved.
Refunds
All services are non-refundable, but we will be more than happy to schedule a corrective service free of charge.
The service must be a mistake from the service provider, not something about which you may have changed your mind (after the service has been performed). In case of a disagreement, a redo must be validated by management. You have seven days to contact the salon for a complimentary service to adjust your dissatisfaction. It is important you contact us as soon as you are unhappy so we can schedule a corrective service for you if we believe there was an issue with your service.
Please keep in mind that when correcting box color or going from dark to light, multiple sessions may be necessary to achieve your desired result. Occasionally, a desired result is unachievable due to the client’s hair, hair history, or unrealistic expectations. Stylists will do their best to communicate the art and science of hair so everyone can understand the process, and what is achievable.
Pricing
At Ella Rose Hair Boutique, our pricing is based on time-based sessions. Each stylist has an hourly service rate determined by their experience, expertise, and availability.
Our goal is to offer transparent pricing and exceptional value, ensuring that you get the most out of your time with us.
Color Pricing
Our hair color services include all necessary techniques to achieve your desired result within the stylist’s hourly rate. However, color allotment fees may apply depending on the stylist’s rate:
- Lower-Tier Stylists: These stylists have a smaller color allotment within their hourly rate. If the cost of color exceeds the included allotment, an additional charge will be added to cover the excess. Typical surcharges range from $10 to $55+, depending on the amount of color used and the stylist’s rate.
- Higher-Tier Stylists: These stylists have a larger color allotment, making it less likely for a surcharge to occur.
By customizing color costs in this way, we ensure that pricing is tailored to each individual client’s needs, keeping things fair and transparent.
Children
Please arrange for child care for your appointment. We want you and the other salon guests to enjoy relaxing, uninterrupted service.
Children are welcome at the salon when they are receiving a service. Children’s services are charged the full hourly session price of their stylist.
An adult should accompany children under the age of 10 throughout their entire service.
Children under the age of 18 must have parental approval and permission through our parent release form before receiving their first service.
Tangles, Mating & Lice
We would be able to complete the service within 48 hours once the head lice treatment has been completed.
Tipping Policy
At Ella Rose, we do not ask for gratuity.
Your price is based solely on the time booked with your stylist and any applicable color cost, plus New Mexico sales tax.
However, if you feel inclined to show your appreciation through a tip, we kindly ask that you bring cash, as we do not accept electronic tips.
Matching You with the Right Stylist
We encourage our stylists to specialize in the services they love most, which means not every stylist offers every type of hair service.
Once you submit your new guest intake form, we’ll help match you with a stylist who aligns with your goals, budget, and time availability.
Please note that many hair transformations, particularly major color changes, require multiple sessions to achieve the desired result. We will work with you to create a plan that ensures the health of your hair while achieving your color goals.
